US President Donald Trump has shared on Twitter a photograph of what appears to be a US intelligence briefing that could have exposed US military secrets while seeking to mock Iran. Iran experienced on Thursday how a launcher , possibly for satellites, failed and exploded on the ground. Satellites then photographed the remains and sold the images to various researchers, also civilians. But on Friday, Trump posted on Twitter an image that appears to have made a great impression of a very detailed close-up of the (failed) launch of the supposed satellite.

The annotations and presentation of the image make it appear that it came from the US intelligence services, possibly from a briefing for the president. Tweeting the high-resolution image, Trump commented that Iran had suffered a "catastrophic accident," adding: "I wish Iran best wishes and good luck finding out what happened at Site One." So Trump's photo revealed that the US has a fantastic Middle East Phone Number List ability to take photographs from satellites , far beyond what Iran, or even other US companies or civilians can get their hands on, or that the US has a drone that was able to get close enough to take photos. However, the angle of the image makes it look like it was taken not from space, but from an airplane. The launch took place at the Imam Khomeini Space Center, northwest of Tehran. This location is about 200 kilometers from the nearest border of Iran.

If a drone took the photo, it was either flying over Iranian airspace undetected or was somehow able to take a great photo from so many miles away. Both situations, which had to do with taking photos with drones, would be great news. One of the leading experts in open source image analysis, David Schmerler, told Business Insider that he was amazed by the image. Schmerler had spent hours  the night before analyzing photographs he found of the launch, but was impressed by the quality of the Trump photo. "I had never seen anything like this before," he said. "I know the US military has incredible capabilities, but I don't know what this is." Trump, as president, has the power to easily "declassify" photos and documents, such as the image of the failed Iran launch. But the photo does not appear to have been prepared by American intelligence agents.
