Mark Zuckerberg's vision of the metaverse as a digital universe in which people from all over the world can coexist virtually at any time has not changed its course, and although it is difficult for us for now to imagine ourselves connected to this new world, the The reality is that it could soon be a much more popular option thanks to Project Nazare.

For now, access to Zuckerberg's metaverse can be done in the Email Data United States and Canada through the Quest VR virtual reality glasses, devices that, in addition to being expensive, are too large and not very easy to configure for people who are not used to this type of technology.

This is the Nazare project, the new virtual reality glasses intended for Zuckerberg's metaverse
With project Nazare, Zuckerberg plans a radical change in the way we will access the metaverse. According to people familiar with the matter who have made statements in The Verge, the name of the Nazare project designates the  new high-tech glasses with “a lighter and more advanced design” and which plans to launch with a first generation in 2024, with redesigns and improvements towards 2026 and 2028.

From its first version, the virtual reality glasses under the Nazare project will be designed to work independently of any mobile device, however "they will have the help of a wireless device" that, yes, will be in the form of a mobile device and will be used to download the information necessary for the operation of the glasses.

Despite this, we can imagine the revolution that this type of device would create, since, they claim, they will be much thinner, lighter and more portable, so the metaverse could be available, literally, anywhere.

In fact, one of its standout features of the Nazare project will be its ability to communicate and interact with holograms of other people, which Zuckerberg perceives as a “more immersive and compelling experience” than current video calls, its evolution towards a more interactive world in the metaverse.

Although there is no official statement from Meta regarding the Nazare project, nor any specific design from the sources that have given the news to The Verge, perhaps the idea is to get as close as possible to the design of their Ray- Ban Stories , the first smart glasses that Meta launched in September of last year and that have integrated 5MP cameras that allow users to take photos and videos, in addition to listening to music and answering phone calls with speakers that are integrated into the frame.

Meta launches the Wendyverse, the first example of how it imagines the presence of brands in its metaverse
While the design is important, the first clear difference between the Ray-Ban stories and the Project Nazare is that the former must be connected to an iOS or Android device, while the latter will work independently, which could represent a way in which Meta could leave the control of Apple and Google who together dictate the terms of the applications that Facebook must comply with on mobile phones.
